3-2 in overtime, just to make it exciting for us down in the USA.  I was on boob at the time of Crosby’s game-winning goal but luckily I caught the replay.  I think I’m a shoe in for goalie at my current rate of growth … no one will be able to get a puck by me!

Weigh in …

So just had my 2 month appointment today (and shots – ouch!) … the #s are in … I’m a whopping 15 lbs 12 ounces and 25 inches long … Mommy and Daddy thought X was big at this age (at 12 lbs 12 ounces and 23.5 inches) – they ain’t seen nothing yet!  Of course now Mommy is going to expect me to start sleeping through the night …

Mommy tilt?

Whenever anyone meets me, they invariably say 2 things:

a) Wow, you sure are a BIG boy … in fact, you’re HUGE!

b) You sure do look like your mom!

Given that my mom is just coming off of having 2 kids in the last 2 years and has a little extra weight that she likely won’t be shedding any time soon, that’s not the most PC comment chain in the world.  But hey, we like to tilt mommy so keep it coming!

1st visit to the ranch

Just got back from a week at our ranch and I love it!  Especially my new nursery and Daddy’s awesome theater room where I will (eventually) be able to watch Sesame Street to my heart’s content on the big screen .  Didn’t spend too much time outside as it was still pretty cold but Daddy did walk me around the lake and I survived my first encounter with Turk & Caicos (who are HUGE!).  Can’t wait to get back!!

Official weigh in ..

So just had my one month check up and official weigh in and the results are in … I’m gaining on my big bro at an alarming (to Xander, that is) rate! I’m already 11lbs 5 ounces and that’s 4 ounces more than he was at 6 weeks … better be Xtra nice to me Xman as I’ll be bigger than you in NO time …

When in Rome …

Since we’re in the city that never sleeps, I figured that was what I was supposed to do – ie never sleep.  Mom and Dad don’t seem too impressed by my “when in Rome” attitude though … they are tough to please!  So I’m catching a few ZZzzzs just before “bed time” so that I can party all night again … and yes, I do have big hands – all the better to hold pocket aces with

Exhausted after a hard day’s work

Had the annual “Smith/Gordon family holiday card” shoot today – what exhausting stuff.  I’m what, 5 days old, and already expected to smile for the camera in cheesy outfits?  Are you serious??  Xander, we need to chat about these unrealistic demands Mom & Dad are placing on us … put that at the top of our next Gordon boys weekly meeting agenda.
